Terms of Service

Last updated: March 31, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Maple Pros (maplepros.ai), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the platform. Maple Pros is operated in Ontario, Canada and is intended for users in the Greater Toronto Area and across Canada.

2. Description of Service

Maple Pros is an AI-powered concierge service that connects homeowners and residents ("Clients") with local home service professionals ("Pros") in the Greater Toronto Area. Clients describe their problem, our AI matches them with the best-fit Pro, and the Pro contacts the Client to discuss scope and pricing. Maple Pros facilitates the connection but is not a party to any agreement between Clients and Pros.

3. User Accounts

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
  • You must provide accurate and complete information
  • You may not create multiple accounts or impersonate another person or business
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms

4. For Clients

  • Using Maple Pros to find a service professional is free
  • Our AI concierge recommends a Pro based on your described needs, but you decide whether to connect and hire them
  • Payment is made directly to the Pro — Maple Pros does not handle payment for services rendered
  • Maple Pros does not guarantee the quality, safety, legality, or timeliness of any Pro's work
  • You are responsible for verifying the Pro's credentials, insurance, and suitability for your specific job
  • Reviews must be honest and based on actual experiences

5. For Professionals

  • Creating a Pro profile is free
  • You must hold all necessary licenses, permits, and insurance required by applicable federal, provincial, territorial, and municipal regulations for the services you offer
  • You are responsible for the accuracy of your profile, credentials, and quotes
  • You must not misrepresent your qualifications, experience, or business
  • You are an independent contractor, not an employee or agent of Maple Pros
  • Maple Pros may verify your identity, credentials, and business information

6. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the platform for any unlawful purpose
  • Post false, misleading, or fraudulent content
  • Harass, abuse, or threaten other users
  • Spam or send unsolicited messages
  • Scrape, crawl, or collect data from the platform without permission
  • Circumvent platform features or attempt to manipulate reviews or ratings
  • Use the platform to solicit users away from Maple Pros

7. Intellectual Property

The Maple Pros name, logo, and platform design are our intellectual property. Content you post (job descriptions, reviews, profile information) remains yours, but you grant Maple Pros a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, sublicensable, and transferable license to use, reproduce, modify, display, and distribute such content in connection with operating, promoting, and improving the platform, including in emails, social media, and marketing materials.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Maple Pros platform is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Maple Pros disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Maple Pros does not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any defects will be corrected. Maple Pros makes no warranties or representations regarding the qualifications, quality, reliability, or legality of any Pro, Client, or the services offered or obtained through the platform.

9. Limitation of Liability

Maple Pros is a marketplace platform. We do not employ, endorse, or guarantee any Pro. We are not responsible for the quality, safety, timeliness, or legality of services provided by Pros. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Maple Pros shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform. In no event shall the total aggregate liability of Maple Pros to you for all claims arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the platform exceed the greater of (a) the total fees paid by you to Maple Pros in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred Canadian dollars (CAD $100).

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Maple Pros, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the platform; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any applicable law or regulation; (d) any content you post or submit through the platform; or (e) for Pros, any services you perform or fail to perform for Clients, including but not limited to claims of negligence, property damage, bodily injury, or failure to hold required licenses, permits, or insurance.

11. Dispute Resolution

Disputes between Clients and Pros should be resolved directly between the parties. Maple Pros may assist with mediation at our discretion but is not obligated to do so. Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the platform that cannot be resolved informally within thirty (30) days shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the ADR Institute of Ontario (or a comparable body in your province) in accordance with its rules then in effect. Maple Pros shall bear the filing and administrative fees of arbitration; each party bears its own legal costs. Notwithstanding the foregoing, either party may bring a claim in small claims court in the province where the claimant resides, provided the claim falls within that court's jurisdiction. You agree that any arbitration or proceeding shall be limited to the dispute between Maple Pros and you individually, and shall not be brought as a class action, class arbitration, or any other representative proceeding. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.

12. Termination and Survival

Maple Pros may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or any conduct that may harm the platform or other users. Where practicable, Maple Pros will provide reasonable notice before termination. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination by either party, you will have thirty (30) days to request an export of your data by contacting us. After that period, your right to use the platform ceases and your data may be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy. The following sections shall survive termination of these Terms: Intellectual Property, Disclaimer of Warranties, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, Dispute Resolution, and any other provisions that by their nature should survive.

13. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the platform or by email at least thirty (30) days before they take effect. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you may terminate your account before the changes take effect. Continued use of Maple Pros after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Privacy

Your use of the platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy legislation.

15. Entire Agreement and Severability

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Maple Pros regarding your use of the platform. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
